Finally air everywhere in the slab
Exact Air is going to be a new standard for crops on stonewool. Because of the Gradient Technology the density of the stonewool increases evenly from the bottom to the top. Hence, the vertical differences of the Water Content, EC, pH and O2- level have never been less. Root development: Superb! New? Indeed, but we already have experience on 200 hectares and considerable evidence that this new slab really brings something new.
Good mix different type of roots
The bottom of the slab is no longer always at 100% water content. After drainage of the excess water and nutrients, the water content at the bottom drops quickly back to 90%. This gives a higher percentage of roots with hairs and less water roots.
Superb root distribution and control
Gradient Technology improves re-saturation. This makes the control of the Water Content and EC levels better and target levels in de slab are easier to achieve. Because of this and the fibre structure the roots grow throughout the slab and using the total volume. Better root distribution will give better control over the key elements of effective water management and less chance of root problems caused by low O2 in the root zone. Therefore Exact Air will help you to get the maximum out your crop, especially in rapidly changing radiation levels and after the longest day.
What is Gradient Technology exactly?
Exact Air is produced using Gradient Technology. The density of the stonewool increases evenly from the bottom to the top. This is why the vertical distribution of water content, EC and pH is better. This has only been achieved by a substantial investment by Saint-Gobain Cultilene in a new production line in Gliwice in Poland. Before this investment we asked our customers what they wanted in a slab. Our production engineers then came up with Gradient Technology as the solution to produce the desired characteristics. Exact Air is the slab you could only dream about until now!
Why choose Exact Air?
- More resistant to irrigation problems;
- A reduction in the 100% wet zone at the bottom of the slab;
- A lot less inefficient water roots;
- More Oxygen in the bottom of the slab;
- Superior root distribution within the slab;
- Re-saturation is second to none;
- A “safer” substrate especially when growing at the end of the crop.
